This page explains what personal information the Rep System Crane Service Ltd. website collects, what happens to it, and what rights you have over it. We have tried to describe what this site actually does, rather than offer generic boilerplate.

Who is responsible for the information

The data controller is Rep System Crane Service Ltd. Contact details appear at the bottom of this page and on the contact page.

What is collected

The only information collected about you is information you type into one of the site's three forms. There is no registration, there are no user accounts and there is no personal area.

  • Contact form — name and phone number (required), email address and message (optional).
  • Quote request form — the service type and the relevant equipment details (type, capacity, location, fault description and so on), together with name and phone (required), plus company, email, town and preferred means of contact. The form includes an explicit consent checkbox agreeing that a representative may contact you.
  • Service call form — name and phone, equipment type, how urgent the call is, and a description of the fault.

Stored alongside the enquiry are the interface language it was sent in, which form it came from, the page it was sent from, and the time it was sent.

What is not stored

Your IP address is not stored with the enquiry. It is checked momentarily at the point of submission to stop the form being flooded with automated messages, and is never written to the database. Your browser type and referring page are not stored either.

What the information is used for

Solely to get back to you and handle the enquiry it was sent about. We do not use information submitted through the forms for marketing mail, and we do not sell or pass it to third parties for marketing purposes.

Where it is stored and who it is sent to

  • The enquiry is stored in a database held with an external cloud hosting provider, on servers located in Ireland, within the European Union.
  • At the same time an email is sent to the Rep System team through an external email delivery service, so that someone sees the enquiry and gets back to you.
  • The site itself — including the code that receives the forms — runs on an external cloud hosting provider's servers in the United States.
  • In other words, information you send through the forms is stored and processed outside Israel.
  • Please note: that notification email is sent from an address that does not accept replies, and you do not receive a copy of it. Your confirmation is the message shown on screen after you submit.

Measurement and cookies

To understand which pages visitors find useful, the site uses two forms of measurement:

  • Google Analytics, which sets measurement cookies in your browser. It is not loaded at all unless you agree to it.
  • Our own count of clicks on the contact buttons, which sets no cookie at all.

The in-house count works like this: when someone taps a call, WhatsApp or email button, a single row is written to the same database the enquiries are stored in, recording which button was tapped, the address of the page it was tapped on, the interface language, and the time. That is the entire contents of the row. No IP address, browser type, identifier or cookie is stored, so two clicks cannot be linked to the same person and there is no way to tell who clicked. Its only purpose is to know how many people chose each way of getting in touch. Where those servers are is set out under “Where it is stored and who it is sent to” above.

In addition, one functional cookie named NEXT_LOCALE is set, whose only job is to remember whether you chose Hebrew or English.

You are asked before any of this happens. Until you answer, and for as long as you refuse, Google Analytics is not loaded at all — no request is made to Google and no measurement cookie is set — and the Google map on the contact page is replaced by our address, with a button that loads the map only if you ask for it. Refusing costs you nothing: every page works exactly the same either way, and we do not ask again on every visit. You can change your answer at any time, here:

Third-party components

A Google Maps map is embedded on the contact page. Loading that map passes information about your visit to Google, under Google's own privacy policy. Everything the map shows — address, phone and opening hours — also appears as plain text on that same page, so there is no need to use it.

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept for as long as they are needed to handle and follow up with the customer. As things stand there is no automatic deletion after a fixed period, so an enquiry that was sent is kept until someone deletes it by hand. You are welcome to ask us to delete it at any time, and we will.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, you have the following rights regarding information held about you:

  • To inspect the information held about you.
  • To ask that information which is incorrect, incomplete or out of date be corrected.
  • To ask that the information be deleted.

To exercise any of these, contact us on the phone number or email address below. We will deal with the request within one business day.

Information security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to received enquiries is limited to Rep System staff administrator accounts and requires a username and password.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
