Electric Chain Hoist, 125 to 20,000 kg

Electric chain hoist from the Brima BMS series, covering 125 kg to 20,000 kg. On a single chain the series reaches 2,500 kg; above that the hoist works on multiple chain falls. Lifting speed reaches 24 m/min, and the hoists run at two speeds: fast for travel and slow for gentle placement. Control voltage is 24 V. The hoist is available with a fixed hook, with an electric trolley, in a low-headroom version for low ceilings, and in a double-hook version. A slipping clutch on the transmission shaft protects against overload. The hoist and travel motor are rated IP55 and the pendant control IP65, and the housing is protected against damp and dust. Duty class 2M to FEM, M5 to ISO.

Electric Trolley

An electric trolley carries a chain hoist or wire rope hoist and moves it along an I-beam or monorail track under motor power. It suits long runs, loads that are hard to push by hand, and work that needs the load placed accurately. The trolley runs on the lower flange of the beam, and the wheel spacing is set to the flange width during installation. Most models have two travel speeds: a fast speed for moving between points and a slow speed for setting the load down gently. It is operated from the same pendant control as the hoist. The model table lists the lifting capacity, travel speeds, operating voltage and motor power for each model.

Manual Push Trolley

A manual push trolley mounts on the lower flange of an I-beam or H-beam and carries a manual chain hoist, an electric chain hoist or a winch. The trolley moves along the beam as the operator pushes or pulls the suspended load, with no motor and no drive chain. It suits light to medium loads and relatively low beams, where the operator can reach the load easily. The trolley width is set to the beam flange using spacer washers on the main shaft. When adjusting, the washers must be divided equally on both sides of the beam so the trolley sits centred and the load is balanced. The wheels are steel and run on sealed bearings. End stops, welded or bolted, must be fitted at both ends of the beam so the trolley cannot run off the track. For high beams or heavy loads, where pushing the load by hand is difficult, a geared trolley or an electric trolley is a better fit. The model table lists the lifting capacity and flange width range for each model.
