PHW-H hydraulic rope winch

PHW-H

PHW-H is the hydraulic variant of the PHW rope winch, with an orbit or radial-piston motor and a brake valve, pulling 2.500 kg to 37.000 kg on the first rope layer. Hydraulic drive is the usual choice on mobile installations that already carry a hydraulic system — trucks, marine and field equipment — where tapping an existing circuit is simpler than adding a power source. The table gives the oil differential pressure and flow each model needs.

PHW-E is an electric rope winch in the conventional layout — motor, gearbox and drum in line — pulling 1.250 kg to 37.000 kg on the first rope layer. Note that the rating falls as rope stacks up on the drum: on the fifth layer the range is 875 kg to 24.500 kg, and that is the figure that governs a full drum. The drum is built to classification 1Am and its diameter is at least 16 times the recommended rope diameter. The standard version ships without a rope and without control gear.

PHW-L pneumatic rope winch

PHW-L is the pneumatic variant of the PHW rope winch, driven by a radial-piston air motor (LPR) or a gear-type air motor (LG) in place of an electric one. It pulls 1.200 kg to 20.000 kg on the first rope layer. An air motor is chosen where there is no power at the working point, where continuous full-load duty is required, or where the surroundings call for a non-electric drive. The table gives the air pressure and air consumption each model needs.
